I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License # MFC 41220) and Certified Hakomi Therapist. I have trained extensively in a method of trauma resolution called Somatic Experiencing and am an advanced student in that approach. I work with children, teens, adults, couples and families. I have supervised MFT interns and served as a guest lecturer and trainer for licensed and pre-licensed therapists at schools and counseling centers around the SF Bay Area including CIIS, JFKU and Dominican University.
I have also been a wilderness guide since 1979 and am a pioneer in the field of ecotherapy (which I might call "what therapy looks like when we remember that humans are a part of and are always embedded in Nature"). Every year I train therapists in ecotherapy and co-lead an apprenticeship program for wilderness rites of passage guides in the wilderness quest work.
