Couples Therapy
Good Couples Therapy will bring you into deeper joy and intimacy with yourself and your partner. The stress, social isolation, absorption in technology/media and busyness of modern life takes people away from attending to those closest to them. I help couples to return to their natural connection and joy with themselves and one another. This creates the basis for the unique healing and growth that can happen only in relationship.
Lasting change occurs by having experiences that reformulate and reconfigure the body, mind, soul and spirit. The more fully we are engaged, the deeper the potential for meaningful, enduring growth and change. It is experience, and insights that come via your own direct experience, that primarily facilitate change. My work is based upon this premise and uses the power of mindful awareness to facilitate self-discovery, growth and enduring shifts in how you experience yourself, your relationship and your life.
In other words, therapy is more lasting and effective when it is experiential. So my approach to couples therapy is active- we won't just be talking about things, we'll be doing them. This will not only give you practice with essential skills tailored to the needs of your relationship, it will also
I also support couples in major life decisions and those difficult-to-have conversations that arise around topics such as marriage/divorce, intimacy, pregnancy/family planning, finances, infidelity and more. I provide support and practical feedback to help you see your interpersonal challenges. With compassion and understanding, I’ll work with you to help clarify important issues and generate practical resolutions wherever possible.
